July 2019

Final event of the project, this festival is meant to open up the ongoing questionings of YEAD to a wider European audience while tackling the issue of “Cultural Democracy”.

For 12 days, 66 youngsters coming from 11 countries, will explore and question how the principles of “Cultural Democracy” are at work in a set of European cultural institutions and suggest their ideas/recommandations/understandings to concretely develop audiences among their peers.

They will explore it through a filmmaking process, benefiting from the mentoring of the group leaders and Belgian professional filmmakers and editors.

The festival will take place from June 27th till July 8th in Brussels, Belgium.

The 11 short films realised during the festival will be screened on July 8th at Cinéma Galeries at 6pm. Send an email to emma.vigand(at)cvb.be to attend this special screening (free entrance).

YEAD festival organisers are: Centre Vidéo de Bruxelles, Alter Natives, Ao Norte, Fondazione Ismu, Stichting En... Actie!, RAA Mecklenburg Vorpommern, IDEA LAB Foundation, Belgrade Center for Human Rights, Luksuz Produkcija, Croatian Film Association, Association Jeunes Artistes.
